(#%$&*$@# Autostop/start

It probably does it just that euro models aren't well represented on the website as it's target is North America. Shoot them an email and ask or maybe even speak with them. Could also be some legal thing. Europe, especially Germany is funny that way. In Germany, unless something is expressly permitted, it's considered Verboten!

How right you are ... but for people living in Germany that's not so funny
I used to do business in Germany. It was a high tech engineering type of business. I found the only way to go was to out terrify them. They were a bit afraid of me so I had their respect. I've even had them stay late in order to meet with me. In Germany, overtime is just not done so it was a big deal if they stayed after hours.
Try putting together a business trip covering Europe sometime. It isn't so easy with all of them off on a holiday of one sort or another. Sometimes I wondered how they got anything done at all what with all the bank holidays, vacations, etc.

Happy New Year!
I have done my business in Germany all my life, because I was born here. However, I can assure you that this country was not always like this, but has only become so in the last 20 years of increasing wokeness. Whereas in the past, people in Germany simply worked, nowadays only such important things as work-life balance and gender equality count here.
I have family in the USA and Canada and can therefore clearly see the differences.
"Made in Germany" has changed into "Srewed up in Germany".

I knew lots of fine engineers in Germany and I think it's still in their genes. I think the wok nonsense will die out fast and is just a passing fad so cheer up. Happy new year to you too.

How the heck do I turn this thing off? I know I have to manually turn it off every time we star our 2020 Forest Premium, but even if we can get it to show the circle with the slash, it still shuts down when we stop and changes back to the green ring. My driving style is to press the throttle halfway through the start-up. It's driving both of us nuts
Scotty.
I had the same problem. I needed a new battery before the 3 36000 warranty ran out.

Go to www.autostopeliminator.com and look up your model and trim code. About $100 later, install it per the instructions, videos are on their site. After it's installed your auto stop problems are gone. When you turn it off, it stays off unless you want it not to.
When you sell or trade the car, unplug it and take it with you. It simply plugs into the CAN buss so there is no hard wiring or screwing around with the car wiring involved so no impact to the warranty either.

This is how it was installed on my car as it has rear auto braking.
The CAN buss was accessed under the drivers seat where the rear auto brake module is located.
To tell the truth, access to the can buss is likely easier in the overhead where the eyesight cameras plug into the CAN buss as with the instructions above.

BTW The CAN bus was developed by Bosh in Germany and first installed in a Mercedes back in 1991 so I am certain it is in your euro model Suburu. Look at the install video below for the install video that details how to install it behind the Eyesight cameras. I think it's pretty easy and simple.

There is also another unit on the market from 4D tech that does the same thing, works the same way, installs in the same place, plugging into the CAN bus in the same place but costs $10 less. I think the original is packaged a bit better so is likely worth the 10 bucks extra.
