I have a 2022 Forrester when i lock the vehicle by pressing the lock button on the door and try to unlock the vehicle by using the key the alarm goes off anyone have a similar issue the dealer told me it's because it's a basic model fault

The ones I have had with factory alarms would do the same. While it is going off put the key in the ignition and start it. That should shut off the alarm, and deactivate the default shut downs, it it does that.
