This morning I found a puddle beneath the rear of my 2024 Crosstrek, and noted that the gas gauge read empty (tank was filled 3 days ago).
On trying to start it, I noticed the puddle grew larger, as gas had apparently sprayed out.
Anybody have a similar situation occur, and if so, what was the outcome?

Have you verified that the liquid you are seeing is gas? If you have verified that the liquid is gas next look to see where it is coming from and is there any damage in that area from any road hazard hitting the area? If there is no damage visible and the motor is running fine I would suspect that the fuel return line to the fuel tank some how has a leak, possible at a connection point. If it is gas leaking on a new 2024 you should consider having the vehicle towed/flat bedded back to the dealer without driving the vehicle as there is a great fire danger and have the dealer repair under warranty.
