95 and newer leg. wag. strange phenom.

Hello,

I have a 95 sub. leg. wag. with around 327,000. Going up hill and losing
power until finally shuts off. Only happened once. Mechanic says common in
95 and newer leg. wags.. Possibly a computer problem. Anyone have experience
here on what it is and how to fix. Mechanic also says it will become more
frequent. Hill may not be important. Starts right back up too!

Has the fuel filter been changed in the
last 80k miles or so?

possibly clogged catalytic converter?

does EVER happen on the flats? or fully loaded with stuff/people?
