2017 Legacy. Engine starts then immediately shuts down.

I drove to store and sat in the parked car with key in ignition for a few minutes waiting for someone. Then when I tried to start the car, the tachometer swings to max then goes back to zero, with all the warning lights lit up as usual. This happened several times. Then I removed the key and sat in the car for several minutes as I debated what to do. Finally decided to try it it again and it started normally. It was about 55 degrees outside that day.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

I have a 2017 Legacy. It has done the whole start and stop thing multiple times. Usually when I fill up with gas.
It has also needed to get jumped twice in the past several weeks. The first time it needed a jump I had the dealer check the battery and charging system. I was told everything is fine. 3 weeks later while waiting for my wife I went to roll up the windows and it died. I had it jumped and taken to the dealer, waiting for answers on both issues.
