If anyone is having problems with oil burning issues on a older FB25s, there's an easy solution utilizing a newer FB25 engine (because they're a lot cheaper than the original engines).
We made adapter plates for the different port sizes for the newer engines to the older engines, plus an idler wheel bracket since the new ones don't have that provision anymore. The only thing is changing over the sensors from old engine, coolant crossover, wiring harness, plenum and TGV body and change the cam reluctor wheels to the old ones because the old ones had notches and the new ones have teeth. It's a nice weekend project and you can be running on Monday. If you're interested, you can check out a video explaining the swap, more or less
