Won’t start. Car ran out of gas,,,

Hi.
My dad accidentally left his 2020 Legacy on. It eventually ran out of gas and the battery died. I charged battery and filled gas.
Neighbor mechanic said fuel pump isn’t getting power. Changed relay pump fuses. Nothing. Car will start by spraying fluid into carb and then die.
Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Prime the fuel pump. It may have an air pocket in the lines that needs to be pushed out.
