My 2017 Impreza Sport has had issues with the driver side door lock since February 2018, one month after purchasing the car. I would click the fob and the driver door would remain locked, try to unlock it from the passenger side, no response. Only way to unlock door was to do so manually. This problem present intermittently for the past 7 years. Car taken to Subaru service many times, always same response

Finally they decided to replace the Driver’s side Actuator, why did it take 7 years??
