Transmission swap

I have a 2000 impreza outback sport 2.2 with a 5 speed manual transmission that is stuck in 2nd gear, I want to know if a 5 speed manual transmission from a 2001-2004 outback with the 2.5 will fit, and will it bolt right up?

So one is a 4W-TY754VCBCA and the other one is a HT-TY754VA1AA will these interchange?

You're going to have to dig deeper into the specs of these trans, it's more than just physical fitment but also gear ratios as they bolt to different engines with different outputs.

Right, the rear differential must be 4.11 for the outback and 3.90 for the Impreza so you have to bring the rear diff and push clutch from the outback to the Impreza, according to my research
