Tail gate auto opening when I am washing and drying my car

I'm new at this but can I stop the damm tailgate from opening while I am washing and waxing my car?

If you leave your fob in the house and the vehicle is locked then it shouldn't open.

Turn off that function on the dash. It is lower left on the dash where you can open the hatch from inside vehicle.
