i bought the car off of auction and need to get a key for it i called a locksmith which only could program a key for the basic electrics such as windows doors and lights but the car won’t start any help as to what i can do to start the car and where the ignition box is because it is a push to start car and can’t start as of now

If you now own the Legacy, with ID and the registration, the local Subaru dealer can access the Immobilizer security code.
The dealer or "more intelligent" locksmith can program the key into the BIU (Body Control Unit).
Push to start as in the force of gravity?
Search the interior for the metal tags. The key cut and immobilizer code is another avenue.
