No tail lights!!??

I am working on 1992 Legacy Wagon. All lights work until I turn off Parking Light Switch on top of steering column, then no tail, side or daytime running lights with light switch on. All bulbs, fuses, and rely are working. Somewhere on a discussion I had read where you could go around the parking switch and have lights back and on the ignition so all would shut off w/key. This meant disabling parking switch which is fine with me. I have the lower dash panel off and I know what plug shuts off the parking switch but not what to do next? Any help would be appreciated!
