New to Subaru - Pros and cons to buying a Crosstrek

Hey Guys

I'm new to the forum and I'm considering buying a Crosstrek and wanted to try to get some info from current owners. I'll be a first time Subaru owner if I go this route. I'm open to used or new, but nothing older than a 2020 preferably.

I'm more interested in the common problems, issues and faults than the pro's but any info would be helpful!

I just traded my ‘20 Crosstrek after 3 1/2 years. My ONLY complaint was, from the showroom floor on, the steering wandered. If the roadway wasn’t perfectly flat, you had to give almost constant input to keep it centered. My dealer techs test drove it, and said they couldn’t find anything wrong.

I’ve seen others post about this while others don’t have this issue. I say be aware of this and any other nitpicky things during a test drive. My new ‘23 Forester Wilderness doesn’t have this problem.
