I have a 2017 Subaru Forester. The driver side door gasket has come loose from the door frame, at the top of the door, most likely due to ice formation because of our lovely Buffalo NY winter weather. Is this something that can be successfully repaired without having to go to a repair shop or dealer?

A pic would help. Have you Googled it? I would think it was a set of clips.

Interesting situation...I had the same concern for my 2020 Legacy Touring XT on the passenger door. The weatherstripping seemed to just flop around near the top so I had the local Subaru dealer look at it. They claimed it was designed that way so no work was done to it. In subsequent car washes I haven't found any leaks from it so maybe, maybe they're right?

Anyway, I worked for GM for 19 years and recall that door weatherstripping was always glued to the door so maybe that's passe in today's car design/build world.
