The tire pressure light blinks on and off and then a letter i appears next to the D symbol. My mechanic has checked the pressure frequently and says nothing is wrong other than the cold weather causing the issue. Any ideas?

What is the pressure when the light is on or flashing?

Have you tried to overfill by maybe 2-3 PSI and see if it stops warning you?

Also, TPMS's rely on batteries that often die. Any tire place should be able to scan all four tires and tell you immediately if you need to replace the TPMS's. How old are they?

I had the same problem in my 2017 Legacy. Tire pressure was perfect in all 4. Turns out it was one of the TPMS sensors

I had our light on the tires come on also, one tire had 2 lbs too much. Deflated it two lbs and it went off. Maybe that's your problem. It comes on if it is too deflated and too inflated, I know, sounds stupid, but it fixed our light the dashboard.
