L.L.Bean Forester 6cylinder

We don't appear to have this in Canada, it seems everything comes with the 2.5 boxer, so I'm wondering is that actually a subaru engine in the L.L. Bean addition and is it also a boxer?

In Canada we don't have as many of the branded editions as those south of us seem to want. I'm not sure what adding LL Bean does to a car except a bunch of stickers and things I would remove as soon as it got home.

We do however have the six cylinder, as a neighbour has one. Yes, it is a Subaru engine. The SVX was also a six.

Is there an L.L. Bean Forester? I couldn't find that model at edmunds.com or at subaru.com. I couldn't find anything but the 4 cyl. Forester. There's an L.L. Bean Outback. We have one. It's a sweet car. Yes, the engine is a Subaru boxer. The L.L. Bean badge comes with a few more bells and whistles than the standard Outback. I don't care about the name but I like the combination of features. The only thing that I could have lived without is the OnStar.

Sorry... your title had scrolled off the scene. I have only ever heard about the LL Bean Legacy/Outback or whatever it is. My neighbour has a six in a Legacy/Outback. I'd have to look to see which model. I think it has an "H6" logo on the back.

We have the Forester XT (turbo) for more power. I saw one at the car show in Toronto a month or so ago. Unlikely they'll put in a six unless the marketing department throws its weight around.

Yes there is, on the japan web site and I see a few for sale on ebay. But I do not see them listed on the Subaru USA or Canada web sites, the fastest Forester for sale seems to be the 2.5l XT model.

Many American icons sell their soul in Japan And the greenies are worried about the LL Bean Lecacy beling classified as an SUV, lol.

It looks good. I wish I could read Japanese so that I could find out more. I wish it would come here. Maybe by the time we're ready to trade the '04 Outback, we'll be able to consider the L.L. Bean Forester.

It's probably $50,000 though Personally I really like that STi version on another page, looks like a WRX with headroom added on.

A forester LL bean edition will be introduced at the New York auto show which begins April 8. I do not think it will have a 6 cylinder from the outback.
