So I bought a 2007 Subaru Forester, and I am researching what engine to put in it that will have all the brackets I need. So the engine type is a EJ253APQFB. I found some JDM engines for this car on sale on ebay just listed as the EJ25 and I see it has the whole harness and brackets and belt accessories that I need, but I also visited the salvage yard today, and I stumbled across a 2007 Subaru Forester that still had the engine in it, it also had the EJ25 code stamped under the hood by the driver side strut mount, but it was a whole different animal wiring wise, and plus it had 3 fuel lines coming out of the firewall, and then going to the engine, mines only has two. The other difference between my car, and that car, is mines is an automatic, the salvage yard one was a manual transmission. My question is: what do I need to do to be sure that I get the right engine with the right harness and brackets so that it will bolt right in? And not have compatibility issues when I hook it up?
