Gear Shifter Assembly Problem

My 2022 Subaru Outback Limited died on me twice in the same week, resulting in AAA calls and ultimately being towed to the dealership. Dealership #1 told me that it was the battery. Dealership #2 informed me that there was a problem with the shifter and it wasn't always registering that the car is in Park. I am getting it replaced, and since I'm a few thousand miles out of warranty, it's out of pocket. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.
