EJ257 Valve Caps

Is anyone in this group familiar with valve caps for an EJ257? I got my caps all mixed up while disassembling my engine and was wondering how crucial it is to put them back in the exact same valves that they came out of. I know that every cap is specifically measured to its valve, but I wanted to see if it's that bad to mix them up when reassembling. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
