Anyone use furnace filter material for the cabin air filter?

I read somewhere on this group that the paper that the cabin air
filter uses is not so ...filterish. Someone mentioned getting GM
furnace filter material and fitting it in the plastic frame. Sounds
good. I'd like to try it, but has anyone actually done this? How does
it work?

Lots of people have done this and it seems to work pretty well - do a search
on www.nasioc.com and you will find some info (might also be on
www.scoobymods.com as well)
