So we took our 2020 Outback into the dealer for
A. 60K service check
B. Upgrade of information console software ( doesn't upgrade using the auto-upgrade )
C. Needed Breaks

When our car was returned the audio didn't work at all.

When we took it back they said the amplifier had failed and it was coincidence that failure and maintenance happened at the same time. Now they want to charge us to get a new amp and install.

Any thoughts here? I can't prove or disprove what they claim unfortunately.

Audio components would normally be covered only on the Initial New Vehicle Bumper to Bumper Warranty of 3yr/36k miles. Ask for the upgrade procedures that were done for the information console? Maybe something in the procedures documentation will point to something, like accessing audio wire harnesses, that may have occurred.
