What are people paying for a '95 Clutch replacement? I am getting quotes of
around $600 - have 144,000 miles on original clutch - anything else I should
have done while they're in there?

Depends on what does the "clutch replacement" consist of ? new pressure
plate+ new clutch disk+ new through out bearing ??? eddie

Verify that you're getting the following:

New clutch
New pressure plate
New throwout bearing
New pilot bushing

The flywheel probably needs to be resurfaced.

If I were doing it to my car, I'd probably
rebuild the master and slave clutch cylinders
as well.

Don't resurface the flywheel...I had mine done a few years age and my
friend....an ASE certified mechanic resurfaced mine. After about 1500 miles
it was at the dealer having a new clutch, pressure plate, throwout brg and
fly wheel installed. Turning the flywheel will destroy the clutch. 500-600
is about right for all new parts except the flywheel.

Machine shops have been resurfacing flywheels for eons without problems if
they use the correct equipment and burnish the surface after the cutting.
