2025 outback premium 17 inch wheels verse limited 18 inch.

I have read that 18 inch tires may have more road noise and little rougher ride than the 17 inch...also slightly less milage. Any thought on this issue of which is best?

The push for larger diameter rims and lower profile tires is mostly about style and larger profit margins. Yes, lower profile tires have some minor improvement in handling but at the expense of rougher ride, more subsceptiple to road damage, lower MPG, and more expensive tires. When I bought winter tires and rims for my Imprezza and Forester, I went with smaller rim diameter and saved significant money and I can't tell the difference.
