Hi All!
OK, just spent over $600 replacing the TPMS sensors in my 2018 Legacy Premium. The TPMS light still comes up on the display although I KNOW they are all operating properly.
I tried shutting the car off pulling the key out and waiting 10 seconds trick. Uh uh. Then I tried the start and shut off 3 times waiting 20 seconds between on/offs. Not that one either. Then I saw something on YouTube than suggested I drive at 20 MPH + for 20-30 minutes. That didn't work either.
Short of disconnect the battery and doing this, that and the other thing, is there anything else I can try before I have to bring it back to the mechanic and have him reset the system?
Perhaps I did not follow the exact sequencing of the above attempts.
Unfortunately, Subaru discontinued having a system reset button on all cars after 2015. Just my luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't believe the 2018 had the ability to pair the TPMS units; that only came with later models, and then only with Subaru-official TPMS units. My 2025 Legacy will (eventually) pair, but it took about an entire hour of driving over 2 days to do so. The aftermarket TPMS on my snow-tire set will not pair automatically, so I still need the TPMS relearn tool for those when I put them on.

Also, did you get the correct 433mhz style, or the more common (but not correct) 315mhz types? Regardless, they unit may be "working properly", but with the light on the dash on, they are not communicating with the car and are doing nothing for you.

If you have the correct 433 mhz units, you need a TPMS reset tool to "relearn" the receiving unit on the car (or pay somebody to do it for you). If, OTOH, you bought the 315 mhz units, they will never pair with your car.

Thanks for your reply. The TPMS is actually working. I can see the the readings for each wheel on my display. I just want to get rid of the warning lights.

The TPMS display IS WORKING! It is showing the air pressure at each wheel. I still cant get rid of the TPMS warning lights.

One of the suggested methods is to disconnect the negative battery cable for 1/2 and it should reset. I have to clean the terminals from crud anyway, and put the anticorrosion discs on the terminals, so when I get " Round TUIT. :)" I'll make sure the cables are off for at least 1/2 hour before I reconnect.
Meanwhile, as I said, it is working. Just annoying.
Thanks.

Ummm...a lot of warning lights will only turn off after a certain number of on-off cycles, or maybe one or more of the TPMS transmitters is weak? Dunno....
