Has anybody have this issue before?!
I noticed a strange hissing sound [not too loud, friction like, border line static sounding to the point that I removed the radio to make sure it wasn't electrical sounds that I was hearing] when stick shift is positioned in 3rd or 5th gear, no matter if clutch pedal is fully pressed or released. Maybe even 1st gear, but I cant really hear it that loud on that one.
As a test, it's enough to step on clutch and move stick either to 3rd or 5th at about 60mph and
the hissing starts immediately. When stick is back in neutral position, 2nd or 4th gear no hiss can be heard. I didn't notice any problem shifting, actually it shifts pretty smooth.
When car is stopped, revving can't reproduce this.
anybody know what's going on here?! I believe is the 5mt tranny in this one..
