Hi I have a Imprezza WRX S 2009 Prodrive spec. have owned from new. I need to sell this car but conflicting opinions make it hard for me to advertise at its true value. Have had people say it's not worth much due to high tax however when you see them advertised they are far more expensive than I have been advised. Car runs well, slight scuffs of paint on two places any ideas on where I would get a correct valuation

After a (very) brief career in car sales, I cannot recommend KBB. Their prices always seem to be higher than what the current market reflected.

Potential buyers used to come in and say, for example, that they want $25,000 for their trade-in because that's the trade-in value according to KBB. We would look up comparable local auction prices which were always much lower. When the potential customer balked, we'd always suggest that they sell their trade-in to KBB.

Carvana and CarMax may be a better source of information on what your vehicle is worth as they will usually offer to buy it.

The market determines value, not a book. Look up recent sales for the same generation and condition.
