Daughter #1 has a 2014 CrossTrek XV. Years ago we bought her a Subaru cargo box made by Thule from the dealership, we probably paid too much, but it is really nice where it opens from either side with a funky contraption that has hinges on both sides.
Daughter #2 is the new owner of a 2023 CrossTrek. I figured I could find a better deal online for a similar Thule, only to discover that the box closest in size and style only opens on one side.
So is the only way to get this particular box through Subaru?
