My key gets stuck in the ignition after I put it in park and takes awhile of wiggling to get it out. I am thinking I need to replace the gear shift Assembly. I saw one place you need to get under the car and disconnect it and then lower it and go uptop and remove it then re Assembly it the jack it back up and reconnect everything. Is this true or can it be done all from inside and not having to get under the car?

Its likely a sensor located on the shifter below trim or the ignition switch. Replacing the whole shift assembly is unnecessary.
