Hey! And greetings from Finland.
I am quite new to whole subaru scene and just bought Subaru Legacy GT-B 1998 bh5 wagon with 5 speed manual. I bought it as project so it has many small and bigger problems. Biggest is the brakes. I already changed front discs and pads but calipers are also seized. I also bought repair kits including piston to both front calipers but now I would like to buy completely new calipers (bleeding nipple broke inside the old one, they also look pretty bad from inside the caliper).

So here comes the main question; Many part stores show brake caliper for 277mm brakediscs even thou GT-B has 294mm disc. Aren't those same calipers in both disc size but the brackets are just different, or am I completely wrong. For example Maxgear 82-0713 and 82-0714. Piston size is correct 43mm in these ones.

Thank you in advance!

Use these two sites as a guide to find part numbers. Use Year, Make and Model bit at time, the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) will help save time finding the correct parts.

You next future problem will be with engine diagnostics. In North America, OBD II began in 1996 and the Euro models came later. Your Subaru may have the same OBD port. Look for the 16 Pin port.
Subaru however uses a different protocol (SSM) Subaru Select Monitor.
The attachment may help with future diagnostics

Neither of those sites recognises my VIN cause its JDM. That's the problem with shops around here too cause it was imported in 2012 from Japan to Finland so many stores doesn't even show anything with registration plate. 2.0l twin turbo and GT-B is unkown to almost every place. Anyway I found a pair with same cast numbers in top of caliper (ad43t 4317) and I can send them back if it isn't correct. So I wont lost anything else than maybe postalfees. Lets hope for best that I can get this machine on the road.
