My 2019 Legacy Audio had various issues such as intermittent audio (seemed to be resolved with new battery), earsplitting blast (factory reset seemed to resolve) and eventually the total absence of audio, I pulled the fuse. It seemed fine so I reinserted it. For now, that seems to have resolved the issue, so would suggest doing this first before disconnecting the battery, resetting, etc.

Love my Legacy but I'll say it again: The infotainment system, i.e., radio, TomTom nav, even Google Maps, all leave something to be desired. It's painfully slow and I, too, get eardrum blasted occasionally without warning. There's also an echo (more like a stutter) from the Android Auto voice on the first word.
