2014 Subaru outback used problem

Hi, I’m having an issue with my car. I recently bought it used from a dealer and yesterday it randomly had the brake light come on and start flashing along with the AT oil temp flashing and the traction solid on my dashboard. Car seems to drive fine ; exactly as it always did. Even when cold lights on and I start driving the lights pop on.
No notable transmission leaks or anything. Got the codes read and got P0971. The car fax doesn’t show anything on if the CVT was flushed. What could it be? Taking it to a mechanic tomorrow I’m really worried.

That's exactly what my car is doing. I was hoping for an answer on the forum, but doesn't look like any responses. Mine is also a2014. Did you ever find out the cause?

No I did not. My future daughter in law has it now and it has just been the brake light flashing with no answers from anyone why.
