I have a 2014 Subaru forester that had the abs, traction control, and hill start assist lights all come on while driving. When I got home and shut the car off it went completely black, no dash lights or anything will come on with the key in the on position. The headlights however do come on. Battery is new, and read 12.5v on a mult meter. I checked the abs fuse and it tested good and after I put it back in and everything came back to normal. Now a week later, did the same thing, so I swapped the abs fuse but nothing happened. Anyone have any ideas where to even look in this thing? I’ve checked all fuses and they are good. Seems like the brakes on all 4 wheels are slightly engaged, tried to clean wheel speed sensors and the wheels barley spin when lifted off the ground.

12.5 is a bit low, especially for a new battery. It is AGM or wet? Is it a current production date battery? Are the battery connections clean and snug? Could be a loose or corroded connection.

Nope 12.5 is where it should be, battery is snug and clean no issue with battery or alternator connections, or starter for that matter. Power is being supplied around the car, but the dash won’t come to life at all.

Check any and all control modules. There are many/several and I don’t know names. one or some were implicated in dead battery issues a while ago. There’s a bulletin out on the dead battery issue also.
