is there a way to get rear accessory plug-in to work when vehicle not running? Want to run a refrigerator cooler for a long trip with an overnight stay

Might want to tell what Subaru you have.

Might also want to take the fridge inside with you and use a grid-power-to-2V converter. Even a small car fridge can use 1kW/dy which would be 30Ah for an 8-hour stop. Using half your starting battery overnight lets you gamble with starting in the morning. You may have already done all the math and just need the outlet to work. In that case mentioning model and year would help.

country, above you asked, "is there a way to get rear accessory plug-in to work when vehicle not running?"

Well, the solution to this problem would be to run a heavy electricity cable (think jumper cable) directly to the refrigerator from the positive terminal of your battery. The downside would be that draining your battery overnight could possibly leave you unable to start in the morning.

A better, cheaper, surer solution would be a good quality ice chest and a bag of ice from the supermarket or even dry ice.

If you are planing to run a refrigerator all night without the motor being on, you may wish to look into getting a small jump start pack. They are about as big as 2 fists and well worth the cost. I also have a electric air pump about the same size. I keep them in the trunk of my car to use when needed. You may wish to consider doing the same. Good luck.
