06 legacy security light flashing once every 3 secs

My 06 legacy security light flashes once every 3 secs while driving. I read in manual that it’s in valet mode so I did the steps to take in and out of valet mode( the alarm was activated so it wasn’t in valet mode) the alarm works and the car starts. I’ve disconnected the battery with the key on and hooked it back up but still no change. Is there something else I’m missing?
