Subaru Impreza tire question

Hey all, this is probably a really dumb question, but I need to ask, lol.
So I have a 2020 Impreza Limited and it has a bubble on the inside wall of one of the tires. I happen to have an extra tire from my previous set with a slightly different tread design that looks fairly similar wear wise (I would have the depth checked to make sure it was within the 2/32 that Subaru allows).
Now for my question, with the different tread styles, would it even be beneficial to go and get the depth checked, or do I need to just bite the bullet and buy a whole new set? I don’t want to mess the drive train or anything else up, but my thinking is a $25 single tire change is a whole lot less than the $800 min for a new set… however, not at the expense of an even more costly repair down the road…

You sound like my wife was when I first met her. She had all of her tires rated good, better, best, etc and bought her tires one at a time.
I took her down to a tire store and had her get a complete set of new tires all at once and ended that nonsense once and for all.
She felt much safer after that and became a real stickler for having safe tires on her car. Always checking tire pressure etc.

The tread is irrelevant if you're talking different anything (brand, size, depth). What matters is the Circumference. Bubbles are quite dangerous so you're onto something to get it replaced.

I would not be opposed to (and have done this for friends) buying the single tire of the same brand, model, size on Ebay used...so long as that tread IS the same depth.
