Hey all, this is probably a really dumb question, but I need to ask, lol.
So I have a 2020 Impreza Limited and it has a bubble on the inside wall of one of the tires. I happen to have an extra tire from my previous set with a slightly different tread design that looks fairly similar wear wise (I would have the depth checked to make sure it was within the 2/32 that Subaru allows).
Now for my question, with the different tread styles, would it even be beneficial to go and get the depth checked, or do I need to just bite the bullet and buy a whole new set? I don’t want to mess the drive train or anything else up, but my thinking is a $25 single tire change is a whole lot less than the $800 min for a new set… however, not at the expense of an even more costly repair down the road…
