Had our 2001 Burgundy Beauty inspected which resulted in being told we needed to replace the front axle in the next year. However, no more OEM axles exist or so I am told by the dealer and the Subaru's Customer Advocacy Department. Sooooo does anyone know of a successful installation of an aftermarket axle? The dealer said they tried after market axles and they caused noises and check lights. Anyone know of source which may have Subaru OEM axles or aftermarket axle that work. Would consider a cheap 2001 Outback as a hanger queen.
