This is happened to my Wife's Outback twice. She has a 2019 Outback and when she's cleaning her car out, like yesterday (it did need it). She had all the doors and hatch open and when she went to put it back in the carport it wouldn't start. When I checked it the lights on the dash came on like usual then went off, the radio came on, but when I turned the key it wouldn't even turn over. The last time this happened I was working on her car, changing oil, filter, and putting the snow tires on. When I lower the Outback down I tried to start it and it wouldn't start. I know when the car is turned off there is still power going to the "brain" but would drain the battery so the car won't even turn over. Lately, I've been keeping a booster pack in the back just incase she is somewhere, other than at home, she'll be able to use the booster to start her car. Some I'm baffled.

Subaru batteries are known for not being great. If the original battery is on the car I would replace (if possible with a more powerful one). I bought my 2019 XV just after covid and had a flat battery within 24hrs (breakdown 100 miles from home). The dealer replaced the battery with a more powerful no Subaru one. My 2022XV hybrid had been sitting for a year and as part of the deal the Dealer fitted a new 12v battery before I took delivery.

I also have a 2019 Subaru Outback, and I found the battery so utterly dead yesterday that I was required to use the emergency key to open the door. I started the car with jumper cables from another vehicle and took it to my local garage. They recharged the battery but found no problem with it or the car. I am convinced that no lights were left on nor doors open. The mechanic did mention that he had seen a Subaru with similar problems that were ultimately traced to the module used to allow the use of a satellite radio (Siriusly).
