Rear Passenger doors unlock

What am I doing wrong ? I have a 2021 Crosstrek and when the doors automatically lock my rear passengers cannot unlock their doors from the inside. I have to unlock them from the driver’s side door switch. This seems unsafe to me if there were an accident and the driver is incapacitated and unable to unlock the doors

you may have the child lock protection system on. look in your manual under child safety system
