My car is for sale! It's a white subaru impreza with a bit over 150,000
miles on it. I have owned it about 2 years, and it is a good car for
around town driving or commuting. I'm planning to move to Alaska in a
couple months, and I'll use a van for the move - no need for the car any
more.
The body had some dents when I bought it, then I hit an elk in the car
shortly thereafter, so there's body damage in the front. However, the car
is mechanically sound. I got a body shop quote of about $1000 shortly
after I hit the elk, but the damage is cosmetic, so wasn't worth it for
me. I have made multiple drives to New Mexico in this car since hitting
the elk, and it drives fine. I recently took it by Sooper Rupair, and they
said it was in good mechanical condition. If you're looking for a car to
drive around, but not necessarily attract the opposite sex, this could be
a good deal for you.
The good
drives well
straight frame
clear title (not salvage)
cruise control
manual transmission - new clutch ~20,000 miles ago
tape deck
2 owners. Well maintained, with records
had no trouble passing emissions check for registry in CO
~28 miles per gallon
The not-so-good:
body damage (hood, both front fenders, passenger side mirror, driver side
back fender, some cracks in windshield)
air conditioner compressor out (~$300 to replace, but air conditioning
system in good shape otherwise)
front cv(s) may be going (I'm not sure, but it would be worth checking)
due for an oil change
I'm located in Louisville, Colorado (near Boulder). Email me at
(e-mail address removed) or respond to this post if you'd like more
info.
Thanks!
