I have a 2011 Legacy. Recently I have experienced sluggish turn over when starting. This morning it almost did not start. The odd thing is when I turned on the headlights the left one came on, then the right one came on a couple of seconds later. My thought was a bad battery. I had the battery checked and it is fine. Anyone have this issue, or any ideas?

Check / test the battery.
Check / test the alternator. At idle, should read close to 14.0V
Check / test all the battery connections.
Test the starter for excessive current draw, a voltmeter with a helper will help capture the readings.
Check the electrical system for a parasitic draw.

A professional "carbon pile" will test the battery, alternator and starter.

Look at the battery negative connection to the body and clean it.
Inspect / clean all the battery ground connections to the engine block.
Look for the ground straps between the body and engine, clean all connections.

Hire a professional if testing equipment is difficult to access.
