I am building a car using a Subaru engine, transmission etc.
I was told the engine came from a 2010 Legacy GT 2.5 liter turbo. A turbo it is and it also has 2.5 molded into the block.
I recently found an engine compartment wiring harness from a 2011 Outback. I already have the wiring harness from the engine itself and wanted just the wiring from that engine harness to the ECU and other related relays etc that I may need to get just the engine to operate. I plan on using a stand alone ECU that can be tuned.
Can someone tell me how much different the ECU harness from the 2011 Outback is from the 2010 Legacy turbo?
The only systems I will be using from a Subaru are those that operate the engine. All others will be discarded. I have done this with other vehicles such as Mazda Miatas and Ford 2.3 turbo. But this is my first Subaru project so all information is welcome in my learning process.
