Hello,

My 2010 Forester windshield wipers are not 100% functional. Following a heavy snowfall, either the wiper motor or the stalk switch on the steering column partially burnt.

Description:
Regular speed and high speed work, but turn the steering column stalk switch to off and the wipers stop in whatever position they're in - middle of the windshield, for example. The wipers do not move to the fully lower position.

Mist does not work at all - wipers don't move
Intermittent does not work at all
The washer button at the end of the stalk works - sprays fluid.

Fuses are all okay

How do I determine if the problem is with the motor or stalk switch?

This is my first post here.

Thanks

It sounds like the park switch switch is bad.
Most likely that is located in the computers circuit board.
I looked up the wiring diagram for that system. It is located in the combination switch in the steering column.
Don't know how pricey they are. You can always get one from a junk yard if a new one is to much.

Good luck
