Windshield washer leak

I found washer liquid slopping about behind the driver seat in my 96 Legacy
and the washer bottle was, not surprisingly, empty.
The pipe seems to run from the washer bottle pump into the front wheel arch
then where does it go please - under the carpet?

Yes and no. It actually runs under the carpet and the plastic plate under
the door opening. If you pull up on that plate and fold the carpet back a
bit, you should see the hose. I'm not sure where it goes after the doors,
but my guess is your leak would be in that area if the fluid is ending up
there.

At some point it'll go back up to the rear washer, but you're right, a
break somewhere along the floor run sounds most logical. When you lift the
door sill trims & then pull up the carpet, watch that it doesn't separate
from the plastic strip that's stapled to it and clips down over the weld
on top of the sill. If it does - fix it, or it will keep pulling out until
you do - very annoying! Cheers
