Windows stuck like Chuck! And I'm in the hood. ....

Long time listener first time caller....
The switch was replaced on my 2003 LL Bean outback a year ago. As of right now I'm traveling and my windows are stuck down about an inch and they won't go back up. Could I disconnect the battery and hope that resets something and I can get a chance to put them up. ....

I'll hang up and listen......
