Valves Ajustement?

Hi, i have an Impreza 1999 2.2 an my question is do i need to adjust the
valves on this engine? They seems a little noisy.

No, they have hydraulic lifters - they're self-adjusting.

I think that you will have to adjust the valves. I read that 1999 2.2 engine
have no valve adjuster. Subaru says that hydraulic valve adjuster increase
friction in engine (less power) so they built it without. IMO I would not
adjust the valve if they are noisy only when engine is cold. I own a 1999
Impreza 2.2l and it does a little noise when running cold. I think Subaru
recommend to do this adjustement at 100k miles.
