hi guys, I'm the proud owner of a 99 Impreza, with 531000 km on the clock,
its a ripper but unfortunately lately the usual 4 cylinders, 2-litre engine has gone back to the roots of Subaru and become a 2 cylinder version of its self.
I have been through all the usual stuff, New Coil Pack, Plug leads and plugs, no joy, had it to an auto electrician and all the sensors are working correctly, cam and crank, the pulses are coming from the exciter to the wiring plug at the lower side of the coil, and the rear 2 cylinders still refuse to go bang, the fronts are therefore a 2 cylinder 1 litre engine. I realise the coils fire the plugs in pairs, so it looks like half the old coil pack has expired, hence the new coil pack. still no joy
Has anyone experienced this problem, (a pair of cylinders not firing) and if so how did you repair it.
