Having issues with my car and how its running, its got a rough idle, engine shaking, and on startup it sputters and will die unless theres acceleration, still after the work we've done on it, we have misfires on cylinder 1 and 3 also when its warmed up and we are at a consistent speed it runs fine and the engine shake calms down dramatically, but at idle and warm up is where the issue lies
Replacements so far are new Subaru PCV valve / subaru hoses and connectors
Oil change- mobil 1 full synthetic 10w 40 / k&n filter
New wix fuel filter and fuel hoses
New NGK spark plugs
New NGk Ignition coil
New NGK Spark plug wires
New Wix Air filter
New battery terminals
New subaru idle air control valve gasket
New engine timing cover gaskets
New subaru throttle body gasket and bolts
New subaru coolant bypass to throttle hose
New subaru Throttle to valve hose
New hitachi throttle position sensor
Cleaned air intake manifold
Cleaned throttle body unit
Cleaned idle air control valve
Cleaned with
Fuel and engine treatment
MAF sensor cleaned
Fuel pressures good
The timing is lined up
We took it to a mechanic and first they said one of the lifters might be bad but came back and said it wasn't a lifter issue, they said one of the valve springs is broken, they were gonna charge 1,500 to 2,000 so we wanted to do it ourselves, but subaru doesn't make them anymore and we can't find them for sale online, any thoughts or help? and the mechanic said the exhaust was smoking although before we went it wasn't smoking. do we have to lift the engine to do the job, any advice or things to know?
