The Map on my 2022 Outback is terrible or I don't know what I'm doing. I open up the Map and NONE of the roads are labeled. It's absolutely useless. I try zooming and it zooms in but still no street names. The Map has been like this since Day 1. I just did the latest computer update. Help.

Have a 2016 Outback and it was known for the GPS not working correctly. I had a new 1 installed in 2019 due to GPS would zigzag a trip and in the middle of an intersection say "you have arrived." without a hint of which direction. I sat in Subaru parking lot, asked it to take me there and the GPS wanted me to drive around 9 miles in a circle to return there. The new 1 added about 2 hours to a 5-hour trip, had me pull into a shopping center then said recalculating, and after driving 5 miles had me return where I started. Use my Garmen that I have had for 14 years, it works much better and FREE updates. They want us to pay $100 to update the map but it can't figure out road that have been there for over 50 years. Don't believe we are the only ones. I would suggest taking it back to Subaru unless the service manager tells you what I was told "you will have to fix it yourself because I don't know anything about them."

The map system in the 2015 outback displayed street names like you want when not using it for directiosn- this GPS was/is not by Tom Tom. The 2020 outback came with a Tom Tom and does what you see- no street marking unless it is providing directions. A short coming in design from my perspective. What we do not know is if subaru negotiated a deal with Tom Tom whereby some Tom Tom features are not provided on subarus!

It also does not have a 'pause' for directions when a side road is taken for gas or coffee etc...or a to stop in a rest area.
