I am seriously considering purchasing a new 2022 Touring model (non-turbo). However, I have a few questions that I would appreciate if someone could answer.

1. Does the android auto operate via bluetooth?

2. Does the android auto using the full screen on the car; or only half. If it is half, can you use the other half at the same time as using android auto?

3. What is your realworld gas mileage on flat ground (not to many hills in southern maryland).

4. Do you get the recommended services at the different mileage levels? If so, how much does it cost?

5. is the infotainment system poor? I have heard that it mixes the telephone calls with music and is just painfully slow. Is that true? Is it bad enough to not purchase the vehicle?

6. I have heard that the eyesight system is terrible in that it overcorrects steering and may cause accidents.

7. Does the trunk sensor work well?

Thanks so much!!

Ander, I can't answer all of your questions. If you've never own an Outback before, I would ask these questions directly with your dealer or go through the owner's manual. In late 2020, I purchased a certified used 2019 Outback Premium from a local Subaru dealer. After some months, I hated the CVT and constant engine revving anytime I pressed the accelerator even slightly and the sluggish acceleration performance. Around town it was OK but out on the interstate and back roads it was so annoying.

I traded the vehicle for a 2021 Outback XT Touring and the difference was night and day with the turbo engine and revised CVT! The power and acceleration is top notch and the CVT actually "shifts" like a conventional transmission that you can actually feel. If you really press the accelerator, it revs a bit but nothing like the 2019 Outback and the revs are more proportional with the acceleration.

Unless you're mostly an around town, a commuter or short trips kind of driver, I recommend springing the extra cash for the turbo engine.
