I'm considering purchasing a 3rd Subaru. The 1st vehicle was an 2014 Outback purchased using the VIP program and was a remarkably smooth and pleasurable purchase. The next was a 2019 Outback.The Dealer (same as the 1st purchase) said his program had better pricing than the VIP program. I called Subaru and asked how that could be and was informed it could happen, depending on the Dealer incentives being offered at the time. I spoke with the Dealer today considering a 3rd Subaru and mentioned the VIP program and without skipping a beat he said their deals are better than the VIP program - which by the way is suppose to be a Dealers invoice. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar instance - seems odd to me. Why have and promote the VIP program?
